Nothing happens...but first a dream. Carl Sandburg

Riverton Stud
Internationally the Breeders of the highest rated horse trained in
South Africa in 2015.

Longines World Best Racehorses Rankings for 2015 saw Captain Of All receive a rating of 121 making him joint 2nd best Sprinter in the world.

This places the Riverton Stud bred star equal to such outstanding racehorses as Al Kazeem (G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup), California Chrome (US Horse Of The Year), Highland Reel (G1 Secretariat Stakes, Hong Kong Vase), Make Believe (G1 French 2000 Guineas), Maurice (Japanese Horse Of The Year), Postponed (G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes), and G1 Dubai World Cup hero Prince Bishop.

Riverton Stud - Highest Strike Rate of Stakes Winners in 2013

"The goal of any breeding operation must surely be to produce stakes horses, and for that reason one has to make special mention of Riverton Stud who had the highest strike rate of stakes winners this past season (excluding farms with only a few runners) with 18% stakes winners/runner. Riverton Stud has produced the winner of the G1 Tsogo Sun Medallion three out of the last four years (Captain of All, Link Man and Potent Power). Quite an amazing achievement for a relatively small operation and well done to Duncan Barry and the team down there!" Highlights: South African Racing Review 2013

Our philosophy is to allow nature to dictate maturity without artificial interference which we believe is detrimental to the athlete. See the art of breeding the natural way.
