OUR WEATHER

Robertson, a mere 2 hour's drive from Cape Town, is the ideal getaway!

Drive through the N1 tunnel and you enter a different world.

Robertson only receives about 150mm to 255mm of rain per year and because it receives most of its rainfall during winter it has a Mediterranean climate. The sparse rainfall tends to be concentrated and disappears after an hour or so. Robertson very seldom experiences misty, miserable weather for days on end. In contrast Cape Town receives an average of 629mm of rain per year. June in Cape Town receives on average 108 mm across 13 days.

Robertson receives the lowest rainfall (8mm) in January and the highest (35mm) in August. The average midday temperatures for Robertson range from 16.7°C in July to 29°C in February. In contrast to the warm days, the region is the coldest during July when the mercury drops to 4.2°C on average during the night.

All our bedrooms have panel heaters or an aircon to stave off the cold. Comforters or extra blankets are also provided. There is nothing nicer than snuggling up in front of the fireplace at night.
